Here is a breakdown of what I like to wear in a workout. A couple of things that I do that maximize my movement during workouts is that I get thin dry fit hoodies (from nike and gap mostly) and instead of a long shirt to layer under I like to wear shorts, which give me more flexibility in my workouts.

This is my absolute favorite go to top when I’m at the gym, you can leave the hoodie as is and wear it as a hijab or I like to cut it down from the center to about 2″ down to make the opening around my neck bigger for a little more breathe room.
